As we moved from our old office area to the “new” one, we found a glass cabinet that we instantly claimed and now we’ve filled it with all things AFOL related that we had in our drawers and such.
As promised there’s a “close up” of Arjan’s awesome Steamboat Maarten.
We’re quite happy to finally being able to display some of the great stuff that the AFOLs do.
Now all we need is more space to display more MOCs and such!
Plenty of nice stuff there!
Arjan’s great MOC
I am in the middle of all my planning for the upcomming business trips – it is impossible to visit everybody and everything I wish to but I will do my best to cover what I can with also managing to have a private life too.
Trips until now planned for the next 5 months go to Germany, Russia, France, Denmark, Portugal, Czech Republic, Italy and possible Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Hope to see you around somewhere!
So Jan and I are both “out of office” today.
He’s on his way to the airport or probably already in the air and I am working from home this cold Tuesday morning.
Plenty of stuff to do though!
Yesterday we packed (most) of our old warehouse onto pallets and the first 4 of them should be arriving at our new “home” tomorrow.
So there’s physical work for me just around the corner, again since Jan, surprisingly, had to travel I guess I’m on my own xD
Today I’ll be doin more Harlem Shakes with the EU/ASIA LUG and Event support which is a lot of work, but definetly worth it as we see it.
And also the first handfulls of LUGBULK orders are shipping out, so there’ll be emails for the lucky first shippers – which is overseas shipments going by boat.
So do not count on getting your LUGBULK order tomorrow.
Now to kick it off with a hot cup of coffee and some emails.
Today I used 3 hours of my afternoon to build the new LEGO Architecture set 21017 Imperial Hotel.
It is a very nice build and a lot of small elements in big quantities so good buy for builders, collectors but also to fill up your part inventory.
You can find a great review done by a EB member on the Eurobricks website.
Here some pictures taken by me:
At the beginning.
Half way through.
3/4 is done.
We have been really busy with calculating the numbers for Event and LUG support based on the first applications we got back from the Community.
Now we are starting the process to prepare feedback, negotiate the support size and ship out the material.
I love Hong Kong!
Here some pictures from my last visit in July – looking forward to visit my AFOL friends and great colleagues in this fantastic city again next year!
From the peak
Star Ferry and Victoria Harbour
Tsim Sha Tsui project done by Legend Bricks – awesome!
And here the guys who build it
Thanks a lot for taking me around and for giving me so many special feelings and a great time!
Check out this great MOC of a bottle of a well known soft drink – done by one of the best builders I know – Schneider from Hong Kong! This picture was taken at Anicom in Hong Kong earlier this year!
Today a Christmas greeting for Jan arrived. 2 small gift wrapped presents and a Christmas card. Thank You William!
I got this really nice shirt from the Pockyland LUG from Taiwan – they celebrated their 5 years anniversary lately. Again congratulations and thanks for the shirt.
Thanks to Schneider from HK for this fantastic MOC I got on my last trip to Hong Kong. It is beautiful.
